Ken is the founder of Cornerstone Financial Management, LLC. He is a Columbia, South Carolina native. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2000 with a degree in finance. Ken started in the financial planning industry in 2004. After 10yrs in the industry, Ken started his own practice in August 2014. Cornerstone Financial Management, LLC currently has 6 licensed financial advisors and 4 client service specialists.
Ken and his wife, Missey, have been blessed with six children; Branson (21), Sloan (18), Tinsley (15), Manning (13), Riggins (9) and Kolby (9). They currently attend Village Church in Blythewood and were previously members of North Trenholm Baptist Church since they accepted Christ in 1999. Ken and Missey went through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University in 2006 and began following the baby steps. Today, they are working hard to teach their children the importance of a hard work ethic and good money management. Ken became a ELP/SmartVestor Pro with Dave Ramsey in 2011, and since then, he has been able to help hundreds of people work toward their financial goals.
Robert Templeton began his career in financial services in 1995. As his career has evolved, Robert developed strategies for his clients that are the foundation for his practice today. He continually seeks to increase his skill set for the betterment of his clients, and is certified as a Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA®).
Robert graduated from of Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College with an associate degree in mechanical engineering. He also earned a diploma in Biblical Studies, and is an ordained minister, currently pastoring in his hometown.
Robert has served on numerous boards across his professional career. His passion is for anything related to spreading the Gospel, as seen in his service with the Child Evangelism Fellowship State Board. He has also served as a board member for Livingston Christian Academy, the local board of CEF in his community, and was the head coach of the Orangeburg Christian Academy High School Baseball team. He is a former Trustee for Coastal Carolina University, a former board member for the Orangeburg Area Chamber of Commerce, and a past member and chairperson for the Kiwanis Club of Orangeburg.
Robert loves a good book, planting flowers, riding a Harley, and playing music. He is married to Linda, since 1989. They have two sons, Ethan and Ryan, both of whom have added to the family by marrying their sweethearts, Kelsi and Alexia. He has two grandchildren, Hazle and Adaline.
Bob Deaton is a certified mutual fund counselor and financial planner with more than thirty years of experience as a financial advisor. He was born in Milford, Connecticut and raised in the town of Cornelius, North Carolina. After high school, he attended Western Carolina University where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in business administration and political science.
He and his wife, Karen, live in a 200 year old farm house that they restored together. In their free time, they enjoy gardening, spending time with their pets, and relaxing at the beach.
Jay is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner at Cornerstone Financial Management. Originally from Brunswick, Georgia, Jay has lived in the Columbia area for over 14 years. He attended the University of South Carolina from 2006-2010 and was a pitcher and captain on the 2010 College World Series Champion baseball team under head coach Ray Tanner. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Jay worked as the Assistant Director of the Gamecock Club in the USC Athletics Department, where he helped raise money for athletic scholarships and facilities, while overseeing all former-student athlete initiatives.
He and his wife, Lauren, a high school biology teacher at Spring Hill High School, have two children: Jace (9) and Olivia (7). Jay and Lauren are members of Riverland Hills Baptist Church, where they both serve in various roles within the church. Jay is also a board member of Irmo Little League and Lighthouse for Life. In his spare time, Jay enjoys playing golf, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Robert Price is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. He attended Coastal Carolina University Wall College of Business where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance with a concentration in wealth management. Robert’s great passion is assisting clients with pursuing their financial dreams. No single approach is right for every individual, so Robert works with each client to understand their personal financial and retirement needs and custom tailors a financial plan to manage their assets and help them achieve their goals. He successfully completed the FINRA Series 7 and 66 Registration and holds licenses for State Life and Health Insurance.
Robert enjoys outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, golfing, competitive shooting sports, and scuba diving. He holds Basic, Advanced, and Rescue Scuba Diving Certifications as well as CPR and First Aid Certifications.
Jonathan is a Financial Advisor at Cornerstone Financial Management, and he is passionate about helping people achieve their financial goals. He has a diverse background with time spent in the sports journalism, pharmacy, and insurance industries, but he found his professional calling as a Financial Advisor. He is a believer in Zig Ziglar’s quote, “You can have everything you want in life, if you will just help other people get what they want.”
He and his wife, Lila, live in Lugoff, and their daughter, Fiona (7), is homeschooled. He is an active partner at Awaken Church in Columbia, and he has led the “Financial Peace University” course there. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family, taking road trips, and staying active with sports.

Ryan resides in Chapin, South Carolina with his wife, Alexia, and their two daughters, Hazle and Adaline. Ryan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. Before entering the financial service industry, he was employed as a firefighter for the North Charleston Fire Department. Ryan graduated from Charleston Southern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Minor in Criminal Justice. Ryan and his family attend Gateway Baptist Church in Irmo. He enjoys spending time with his family, going for walks with his family, and spending time on the lake.
